Framework for Python

Cloud

data_verify()

Check a catalog file against framework.db and, if connected, the cloud ledger.

Returns True when every record matches. A mismatch issues a warning.

The file's SHA-256 digest is compared with its framework.db record and, when the project has a token, with the newest cloud ledger entry for the name. A missing record, an unreachable ledger, or a name with no ledger entries is reported but does not count as a mismatch.

Usage

data_verify(name: str) -> bool

Arguments

Name Type Description
name required str

A catalog name or file path, as accepted by data_info().

Value

True when every available record matches the file, otherwise False.

Raises

  • DataNotFoundError: When the name is not in the catalog.
  • FrameworkError: When the file does not exist.
